The UNSW School of Population Health awards recognise excellence in teaching, research, service and engagement. This award is conferred to early career staff (within 5 years of completing their PhD or equivalent) employed in the UNSW School of Population Health. Recipients of the Early career research excellence award have demonstrated significant knowledge impact through research excellence.

Earning Criteria

Awarded annually. The award is for excellence demonstrated in the previous 12 months (1 July – 30 June). Staff may self-nominate, or a SPH staff member (including managers) may nominate a colleague from within the School. The nominator submits a written application detailing how the nominee has demonstrated excellence. Applications are assessed by a panel including: Head of School, Director (or Deputy Director) of Research, and an external level D academic or above.
