School of Population Health: Early career teaching award

The UNSW School of Population Health awards recognise excellence in teaching, research, service and engagement. This award is conferred to early career academic staff (within 5 years of completing their PhD, or equivalent) employed in the UNSW School of Population Health. Recipients of the Early career teaching award have demonstrated excellence in teaching with a focus on encouraging student learning.

Earning Criteria

Awarded annually. The award is for excellence demonstrated in the previous 12 months (1 July – 30 June). Staff may self-nominate, or a SPH staff member (including managers) may nominate a colleague from within the School. The nominator submits a written application detailing how the nominee has demonstrated excellence. Applications are assessed by a panel including: Head of School, Director (or Deputy Director) of Teaching, and an external level D academic or above.
