Earners of the Mini-COGE for the School Counselling Service have completed professional learning which provides them with an in-depth understanding of gifted education.Practitioners will more confidently be able to identify gifted, high potential and talented students; recognise characteristics associated with underachievement and advocate strategies to address and refocus behaviours; and understand gifted education research and best practices.

Earning Criteria

Completing an 18-hour course over three days consisting of self-paced and online classroom learning.

Use the DMGT to identify intervention points to either prevent or reverse underachievement and also to assist in a differential diagnosis.

Write an intervention/treatment plan to be implemented in the school.
