Individuals who complete this course will develop a comprehensive view of effective operational risk management exploring how good operational risk management can be a business enabler, the emerging trends in operational risk management and the mindsets and behaviours of a future-focused risk practitioner. Candidates will be able to identify emerging risks, threats and opportunities, use system thinking to drive decisions and build a risk culture.

Participating in 8 virtual learning sessions on operational risk management covering the following topics: Risk Concepts and Frameworks, Taxonomy and Governance, Risk and Control in Business, Risk Controls Self Assessment, Future of Risk, Business Enablement and Building a Positive Risk Culture.

Completing 4 self-paced learning modules on the topics: Operational Risk in Fin Services, Operational Risk in Practice Emerging Trends in ORM, Building a Positive Risk Culture and Operational Risk Management as a Business Enabler.

Participating in 4 professional development virtual learning sessions on the following topics: Decision Making, Collaborating for Outcomes, Influencing and Negotiating and Consulting Skills. Receive feedback from AGSM@UNSW Business School on evidence and reflection demonstrating sound understanding and application of the program concepts.

Submit evidence of how concepts from each module were applied in their day to day work along with reflections on how to continue to make a positive impact as a leader and on their team as a result of increased capability.
