The Chemistry Bridging Course provides you with the basic knowledge required for the study of chemistry at university level. This course goes over the following topics: Atomic structure, Names and formulae, Moles, Safety & prep of soap and electrolytes, Equations and stoichiometry, Concentrations, Oxidation & reduction, Titration, and Gases. Through online lectures and optional face-to-face tutorials & labs, you will become familiarised with the way Chemistry is taught at university.

Earning Criteria

Successfully attempted each of the eight OpenLearning assignments by and obtain an average of 80% or above for these assignments (each will be weighted equally); OR attend the final exam and obtain a mark of >50%.
