Earning Criteria

The Hackathon is First India Software Lab Cloud initiative which is open to all Cloud teams. It is specifically geared for our cloud colleagues across development, support, services, offering management, SRE or any other role who is interested to participate in the Hackathon. The Hackathon is open for all regular employees working in Cloud including Interns, Contractors and Cross charges.

Prerequisite - earned at least one of the following Cloud badges: Cloud Core, IBM Cloud Lift Essentials, IBM Cloud Pack for Applications - Explorer, IBM Cloud Essentials, Serverless Computing using Cloud Functions - Developer I, IBM Storage and Cloud Essentials, Docker Essentials : A Developer Introduction, Containers & Kubernetes Essentials, Build Smart on Kubernetes, App Modernisation Essentials, OR any badge falling under ICCT category.

Register - Form a team of 2-5 people and add team details in GitHub. A team name is the identity of your team and will stick with your team throughout the Hackathon. Choose a cool name for your team and enter it in GitHub.

Submit your innovative idea - Describe your problem statement or Challenge. Give a brief description about your solution and the outcomes. List Technologies/Skills that you plan to use. Explain what is the benefit/value add of this idea.

Commit code - Once your solution is available, provide a link to your GitHub repository that will hold your solution assets; code, documentation, data set, design thinking artifacts, etc.

Deliverables expected - 1. A presentation (explain the idea, and what makes it unique), 2. Solution design approach (why), 3. Demo video (of the asset / app, Git repo link)

Evaluation criteria - 1. Team composition (with expertise from across multiple IBM Cloud team), 2. How effectively you have used IBM Cloud infrastructure & services, 3. Usefulness and potential of the idea, 4. Novelty or Originality
