Earners of the Rajasthan Royals Sports Marketing Advanced badge have gained insights into the role of sport in society, the practical delivery of sports marketing, sports governance and leadership, and how the fan experience is created. They have also gained ‘real world’ practical insights into a year in the IPL. This course is offered in partnership with Deakin University.
Earning Criteria

The course material integrates Rajasthan Royal video insights which are specially created videos by the marketing and business professionals at the club that bring the theory to life with real stories of sports marketing in action. To complete the course, earners completed five learning modules of the short course which includes a mix of theory and practice examples:

Module 1: Sport in society. Eaners got the opportunity to learn about the history of sports and how this evolved to where sport is today, critically analyse organised sport in a variety of cultural contexts, and interpret key issues and problems in international sport, considering the implications of such an examination for the modern-day sport manager and administrator.

Module 2: Sports Marketing. Eaners got the opportunity to gain insights into the the fundamentals of marketing and the creativity involved in creating a marketable product, synthesise the principles of marketing management and frameworks used, interpret market factors and develop strategic marketing approaches around the Product Lifecycle (PLC), and consider sponsorship and new media possibilities.

Module 3: Sports Leadership and Governance. Eaners got the opportunity to judge governance, policy, power, and ethical practice in contemporary sport organisations, interpret the multiple roles and functions of a board in the strategic leadership of sport organisations, and understand some of the ethics issues in sport.

Module 4: Creating the Fan Experience. Eaners got the opportunity to understand why customer experience is important for the fans of sport, what are the consumer trends impacting marketing , and consider the elements for building a marketing campaign.

Module 5: Rajasthan Royals Master Class. Earners got the opportunity to participate in an immersive masterclass that provides indepth and unique 'behind the scenes' insights into what a year in Sports Marketing actually entails within a global sporting franchise, and reflect on the theory presented through the course, while experts in their respective fields explain its practical application in the commercial world.
