This Deakin Hallmark recognises students with outstanding teamwork skills who have used those skills to make a substantial contribution to the field of Environmental Science. This award has been developed in recognition of the importance of teamwork to the employability of environmental scientists and managers; who must work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups in order to address complex issues and produce positive outcomes for the environment and communities.

Earning Criteria

To receive this Deakin Hallmark, students must submit a digital portfolio, written reflection and video pitch that provide compelling evidence of having met the Hallmark standards.

Achievement of the Hallmark was judged by a panel of disciplinary experts, including representatives from the course team, industry and a past graduate of the course.

The concept for this Deakin Hallmark was endorsed by the Deakin University Environmental Sciences Advisory Board with members representing the following organisations: Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (Victoria), Eastern Alliance for Sustainable Learning Parks Victoria Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (South Australia), APA Group and Manningham City Council.
